WELLINGTON NORTH – Great fun was had by both the Mount Forest and Arthur-Alma communities at Big Brothers Big Sisters North Wellington’s (BBBS) Bowl for Kids Sake fundraisers.
BBBS officials are expressing special appreciation to the Mount Forest Bowling Centre for hosting Bowl for Kids event and for their continued support.
Mount Forest had 29 teams with 170 bowlers attend on Feb. 23 and raised $9,085 with more yet to come from some local businesses.
Arthur-Alma saw 18 teams with 125 bowlers come out on March 2 and raise $17,335.
“Thus far our total for our Bowl for Kids campaign including Minto-Mapleton community and our school challenges is $56,734,” officials stated. “Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington is so appreciative of all our wonderful community’s support. The money raised in all of our fundraising events stays right here in our community and allows us to provide our programs free of charge.”
BBBS has a waiting list and is in need of volunteer mentors for various programs.
