Boating charges
CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Aug. 20 Wellington County OPP responded to what was initially reported as a collision on Belwood Lake.
“Upon arrival officers learned that there had not been a collision, but that three people had fallen off of a personal watercraft and had sustained minor injuries,” police stated in a press release. The three people were transported to a local hospital.
The vessel operator, a 50-year-old from Milton, was charged with failing to take all reasonable steps to ensure the safety of a craft and the persons on board.
