‘Bark to School’ with the Guelph Humane Society

GUELPH – The Guelph Humane Society (GHS) has launched its September Bark to School 50/50 lottery (RAF1333208) to help sick, injured and abandoned animals that have nowhere else to turn in Guelph and Wellington County.

With this lottery, when you win, so do they.

GHS guarantees a minimum grand prize of $5,000.

“Proceeds from the Guelph Humane Society’s 50/50 Bark to School Lottery support care, shelter, primary and complex veterinary care and, of course, lots of love and attention for animals waiting patiently for their new family and Happy Tail at the Guelph Humane Society” said GHS  executive director Lisa Veit.

Funds also support GHS Cares programs such as emergency boarding, Pets in Transition (a program for those fleeing domestic violence or in need of mental health and addictions support), and free short-term boarding for pets of senior citizens in need of hospitalization.

Tickets start at $10, with the best value at 300 tickets for $100.

Early Bird Draws occur Fridays throughout September, when one person will win $500 each week and have a continued chance to win the big prize.

The grand prize will be drawn on Sept. 29, and the winning ticket will take home 50 per cent of the jackpot.

Tickets can be purchased until 11:59pm on Sept. 28.
