Badley Bridge replacement project on track
Steady operation - A crew and giant crane from Looby Builders set precast girders in place on July 28 as part of the Badley Bridge replacement project in Elora. Crews will complete the first two girder spans, working from south to north across the Grand River, with a second crane mobilization required at a later date to complete the final span. The massive crane was assembled on July 27, closing the area around Carleton Place. It is expected to remain closed until July 31. The construction is on schedule and the bridge is expected to open to traffic by November. Photos by Keegan Taylor
