Badley Bridge opening pushed to December
ELORA - The opening of the Badley Bridge in Elora to traffic has been delayed until early December.
“The most recent updated schedule from our contractor shows the bridge will be open to traffic by Dec. 4. Continued lost days due to weather could see this pushed to as late as Dec. 11,” notes Wellington County construction manager Joe de Koning in an Oct. 27 email.
“Meeting key milestones to date, (contractor) Looby has managed the project through the unique challenges we have all experienced in 2020,” de Koning stated.
However they will not be able to complete the work required to open the bridge to traffic by the end of November,” de Koning added.
