CENTRE WELLINGTON - Pumpkins got a second night to shine as residents brought their jack-o-lanterns to the Wellington County Museum and Archives

ELORA – The St. John’s Elora Poppy Project, now in its third year, has received over 9,000 knitted and crocheted poppies created by over 150 people across Canada and assembled by the Knitters and Quilters group at St. John’s Elora.  

FERGUS - Congregation members of Melville United Church have discovered knitted and crocheted poppies, displaying their work outside the church for Remembrance Day. 

CENTRE WELLINGTON - The Optimist Club of Centre Wellington hosted its annual Christmas bazaar at the Fergus Legion on Nov. 4. The event featured a takeout chili lunch, vendors and crafts. 

PALMERSTON – Crafts, treats, lunch and more were available at the Palmerston and District Hospital Auxiliary Gift Shop bazaar at the Palmerston Community Centre on Nov. 4. 

HARRISTON – Four people are facing numerous charges after an attempted break-in at a home here last week. Police “located the suspects and seized a firearm,” police stated in a Nov. 6 press release, noting four people were arrested and held for bail court.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – Wellington OPP investigated an early-morning rollover at Wellington Road 18 and Fourth Line near Belwood on Nov. 2. The road has since been reopened.

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Radon is a colourless, odourless gas present in many homes. The naturally occuring radioactive gas is is the leading cause of lung cancer in non-smokers, and testing is the only way to measure the presence of radon inside a home.`

ERIN - Downtown businesses decorated and doled out candy during Trick or Treat Main Street in Erin on Oct. 28.

CENTRE WELLINGTON - The Wellington County Museum and Archives presented another murder mystery on Oct. 27.

CENTRE WELLINGTON - Frankenstein the New Musical was performed Oct. 27 the Fergus Grand Theatre.
