MINTO – The total cost of paying local politicians in Minto increased by over $13,000 last year. A report shows salary and expenses paid to members of Minto council between Nov. 16, 2022 and Nov. 15, 2023 totalled $181,256.

MINTO – A long-term plan for the grounds surrounding the Harriston-Minto Community Complex has been approved in principal by town council.

MINTO – Council here is considering a request to allow gun hunting on Sundays within the municipality. A delegation of area residents appeared at the Feb. 20 meeting to request council pass a resolution to implement the change.

HARRISTON – Local residents got their first look at a proposed master plan for the grounds surrounding the Harriston-Minto Community Complex on Feb. 20.

MAPLETON – Planning fees in the township will rise by about 17.3 per cent annually for the next three years, council has decided. While substantial, the increases are dramatically scaled down from those proposed in a recent consultant's report.
