ELMIRA – The Elmira Theatre Company is looking for people to audition for its upcoming production Halfway There.
The play is written by Norm Foster, directed by Robin Bennett and produced by Bev Dietrich. The stage manager is Debbie Gerber.
“There’s no such thing as a secret in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia – especially when four female best friends meet for coffee every day at the local diner to share gossip, romance, bawdy tales, and the true meaning of life,” theatre officials stated in a press release about the auditions.
“When Sean, a heartbroken doctor from Toronto, takes a temporary job at the clinic and becomes interested in local waitress Janine, the Maritime town that’s best known for being the halfway point between the Equator and North Pole is tipped off its axis,” officials continued.
“What follows is a month of lessons learned for all, through hilarity, tears, and the unshakeable bonds of friendship.”
The auditions will take place on Sept. 7 at 2pm and Sept. 8 at 7pm.
If needed, call-backs will be on Sept. 10.
Auditions will take place at the Elmira Theatre Company, which is within St. James Lutheran Church (60 Arthur St, S.). Enter at the side on Wyatt St.
