Arthur roundabout open house set for March 18

Village residents are invited to attend a public meeting on a planned roundabout on Frederick Street near the community centre here.

The work is being planned by Wellington County and will coincide with other work by the township  at the same time.

The roundabout proposal was reviewed by township council at its meeting on Feb. 10 and presented by county and Triton Engineering officials.

The roundabout, according to officials, would improve traffic flow and pedestrian safety at the intersection of Wellington Road 14 and Frederick, Domville and Eliza streets.

The open house will be held on March 18 from 6 to 8pm at the community centre.

“Representatives from the county and the consulting engineers for the project will be present at the open house to help review the plans and answer questions,” stated a press release from Triton.
