Arthur construction worker seriously injured in workplace accident
ARTHUR - A construction worker was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a workplace accident here on Wednesday.
Emergency crews responded to the construction site on Schmidt Drive in Arthur on Sept. 9 at about 3:30pm.
Wellington County OPP officials say a 24-year-old man from Woodstock "was working on a piece of heavy machinery when he was struck in the head by (a) large steel bolt."
The man was transported to a local hospital and later to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
