Arthur citizens receive community awards
ARTHUR – The Arthur Chamber of Commerce hosted its 2024 Community Awards ceremony at the Arthur Community Centre on Oct. 26.
This year’s ceremony included five categories, Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year, and Excellence in Agriculture.
The ceremony was preceded by a dinner and speech from three-time Paralympian Chris Stoddart.
Young Citizen of the Year Nathanael Kennedy, Copernicus Educational Products representatives Jason and Melissa Kooiman (large business), Imagination Space co-owner Amy Timberlake (small business), and Shawridge Farms owners Bridget and Shawn Schill (agriculture). Citizen of the Year award winner Laird More was absent.
