Another arrest in medical marijauna facility break-in

On February 18, 2016 at approximately 12:08pm Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call for a break and enter in progress at a Health Canada-authorized medical marijuana producer on Sideroad 17, Town of Erin. Four males were charged. One young person cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Police continued to investigate and on July 8, 21-year-old Brandon Rego of Brampton was arrested and charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code:

– Break and Enter a Dwelling House;

– Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence;

– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose;

– Possession of a Loaded Restricted Firearm;

– Possession of a Firearm Obtained by Crime; and

– Disguise with Intent-C.C.

He appeared in court on July 9.
