Annual Golf For Kid's Sake tees off June 8 at Ariss Valley
The Ariss Valley Golf and Country Club will host the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Centre Wellington 17th annual Golf For Kid’s Sake tournament on June 8.
The best-ball event is intended to be a fun, community event in support of a cause that helps children through in-school mentorship programs and in Big Brother or Big Sister matches with volunteers. The organization is celebrating its 100th anniversary in Canada.
Supporting the event, Greg McCabe, of Reliable Motors, is offering a grand prize, a Drive it Home, two-year lease on a 2013 Ford Focus Hatchback for the golfer who achieves a hole in one.
The tournament includes 18 holes of golf, a motorized golf cart, lunch and dinner for $125.
There will be prizes, competitions, mulligan bags and a silent auction to ensure a fun day for all involved.
The tournament tee-off starts at 1:30pm.
