Annual business networking event, trade show

The Wellington North Showcase  is back for its seventh year.

It creates a platform for business services, retailers and organizations to make connections to create local camaraderie that benefit business and the consumer, said event officials.

The Wellington North Showcase features a business networking reception at the Arthur Community Centre on March 22 from 5 to 8pm, where local businesses and community leaders are encouraged to attend this valuable networking opportunity.

The main feature is the Trade Show that opens the doors to the public on March 22 from 1 to 8pm, providing displays and products from local businesses and organizations. This event is free for everyone. Non-perishable donations to the Arthur Food Bank will be accepted at the door.

New for 2016, partnering with Agilec and the Town of Minto, the Wellington North Showcase will offer what officials are calling “northern Wellington’s biggest job fair.”

It will run in the upper hall of the Arthur Community Centre on March 22 from 2 to 5pm. The job fair will feature an array of area employers looking to hire.

Visitors will want to ensure they fill out their passport by visiting booths for the chance to win prizes.

Over the past seven years the showcase has proven to be a must attend event for our local businesses, said officials.

The economic well-being of the community is driven by existing businesses and this showcase is intended to give an opportunity to recognize and thank the many businesses in the community and the services they provide.

Display booths are available for $30 or $10 for a small table to participate.
