ARMSTRONG, Rea

With heavy hearts, the family of Rea (David Lewis) Armstrong announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by family and love, on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in his 81st year. Rea built and shared a beautiful life with his soulmate Kathleen and was an extraordinary father to his three children Darlene (Wayne) Loos; Sherri (Jay) Farrow; Paul (Teresa) Armstrong and exceptional grandfather to Brady (Kate), Tanner (Meghan), Tyson, Dylan (Sophia), Madison (Dustin) and Brett and cherished great grandfather to Brynlee. Step-grandfather to Mike (Amy), Matt (Tracy), Mitch (Callise) and their children. He was a loving and devoted brother to his six sisters and their families; Wilma Dailey, Dorothy (Robert) Fletcher, Mary Boucher, and Leila (Carl Zettel) Forbes and in-laws Karen (Peter) Russell and Warren (Linda) Jack. Predeceased by infant son Douglas, sisters Grace Lack and Margaret Schieck and brothers-in-law Keith Dailey, Bruce Boucher, Bob Forbes and Bruce Schieck. Rea took great pride in the farm he devoted his life to since 13 years of age. He was a jack of all trades and always quick to lend a hand. Rea thoroughly enjoyed joining his friends at the curling rink each week to share the love of the game and many laughs. His quick wit and gift of conversation made many quick friends. Rea will forever/profoundly be missed by his loving family and friends. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Staff at both Palmerston Hospital and Victoria Hospital, CCTC in London. Rea received the best of care and family was treated with compassion and professionalism. A private family funeral service will be held. Please join his family in sharing fellowship and memories during the Celebration of His Life with a light lunch, on Sunday, April 26, 2026 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Moorefield Community Centre, 15 Ball Ave. Moorefield. Interment in Bethesda Cemetery, Moorefield. In lieu of flowers, donations to Heart & Stroke or Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton.
