ABOYNE – Uncover the secrets of animal language in Animal Gibberish: Subtitled for Humans, a new exhibit at the Wellington County Museum and Archives.

Running until Sept. 26, the exhibit was developed by the Sherbrooke Museum of Nature and Science with contributions from Heritage Canada.

“Visitors of all ages will enjoy this immersive experience,” says curator Hailey Johnston.

“Animal Gibberish uses digital technology, sounds, games, and interactive elements to explore how animals communicate with one another and with humans.”

Animals use many different ways to convey simple messages like “I like you,” “danger!” or “I’m hungry.”

Visitors will discover who does what and learn to send messages just like animals do in this unique hands-on exhibit.

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora.

All patrons will be screened prior to entry and are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times.

The galleries are open weekdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm and 1 to 5pm on weekends and holidays.

Admission is by donation.
