Acton woman dies in serious two-vehicle crash
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – An Acton woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision here on Tuesday afternoon.
Wellington County OPP officials say emergency crews responded to the scene, on Highway 7, east of Wellington Road 29, at about 4:40pm on May 16.
Police say a blue passenger vehicle and a white SUV were travelling along Highway 7 when they collided.
"The driver of the SUV was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries," police stated in a press release.
"The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 67-year-old of Acton was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased."
Anyone who may have observed the vehicles prior to the collision, who observed the collision or who may have dashcam footage of it, is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
