of Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 55. Beloved husband of Faith (Ellis) Gile for 26 years. Dear father of Caleb Gile and the late Shiloh Gile (1994) in infancy. Son of Lorraine Gile of Listowel and the late John Gile. Brother of Shirley Gile and her wife Robin of Listowel, Bonnie Gile of Listowel and the late Doug Gile. Son-in-law of David Ellis of Palmerston and the late Pauline Ellis. Brother in law of Rev. Timothy Ellis and his wife Leigh Ann of Smooth Rock Falls and Amy and her husband Adam Willshire of Harriston. Uncle of Christopher and Susana Gile and their children Ty, Leland and Jacey; Daniel Gile-Gowing, Justin Gile-Gowing, Austin Gile-Griffith, Devon Gile-Griffith, Travis Gile-Griffith, the late Hailey Gile-Griffith; Eden, Isaac, Elijah and Toviah Ellis; Noah and Lucas Willshire. Barry will be fondly remembered by his aunts, uncles and cousins. The family received friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The Funeral Service was held in the Whites Road Pentecostal Church, 9171 Wellington Road 5, Harriston, on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00pm followed by cremation. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Juravinski Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family.
