Puslinch council paid $122,582 in 2018

ABERFOYLE – Puslinch council cost $122,582 in 2018, a 4.6% increase over its 2017 remuneration ($117,172).

The combined base salaries of all councillors last year came in at $88,237.

A report presented to council at its March 20 meeting notes salaries for newly-elected councillors reflect that only their first month in office was during 2018.

Mayor James Seeley (elected in 2018) had a base salary of $1,821 with a total of amount of $2,906, including expenses.

Councillor Matthew Bulmer had a base salary of $16,141 with a total of $23,019 including expenses.

Councillor Jessica Goyda had a base salary of $1,242 with a total of $2,317 including expenses.

Councillor Ken Roth had a base salary of $16,141 and $21,940 including expenses.

Councillor John Sepulis came in with the lowest salary at $16,141, with a total of $22,871 after expenses. 

Councillor Susan Fielding had a base salary of $14,899, with a total of $27,316 after expenses. Fielding’s remuneration includes $3,403 in per diem expenses through her role on the Hamilton Conservation Authority board.

Former mayor Dennis Lever had a base salary of $21,852 with a total of $22,213 after expenses.

Council adopted the report without discussion.

Grand totals are based on salaries plus benefits, per diems and expenses, business expenses, conferences/seminars and mileage.
