Obituary

During the late afternoon on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, Margaret passed away at Groves Hospital in Fergus leaving her husband Ralph Law together with sons James, Andrew and Charles in a deep state of grief and mourning. Grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Emily, Oliver and Sebastian also feeling the bitter pain of their loss. Margaret was born May 18th,1938 to John and Dorothy Garbig, both deceased along with siblings John Jr., Evelyn Campbell (Hugh), Don (Joyce) and Robert. Also sharing in the grieving process is brother Ross and partner Sharon together with many nephews and nieces. Margaret had been the personal secretary to the president of the Toronto Telegram where she met her husband to be. After the closure of the Toronto Telegram, Margaret devoted her time to raising her children and maintaining a household as well as becoming a news reporter for a few newspapers. Margaret’s family would like to acknowledge and thank Dr. Gartner, Dr. Dai, Dr. Abu-Mahfouz and Dr. Janes for their dedication, time and efforts to do the best possible for Margaret given her circumstances. The paramedic and fire crews along with the many hospital attendants involved were just the best. Along with family and friends, there is a little grief-stricken critter, Nunkie, a two-year-old kitten who was present to witness her best friend’s massive stroke and now wanders around the house meowing sadly looking for her friend Margaret. God’s Blessings on you Maggie. Amen. A celebration of life and interment will be announced in the spring.
