STUMPF, William Albert

April 11, 1936 - January 5, 2026

William Albert Stumpf passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026 at the age of 89. Born on April 11, 1936, and raised in Elora, William built a life rooted in hard work, family, and community. Along with his brother, he was a founding member of Stumpf Brothers Excavating, a business well known and respected for its integrity and strong work ethic. William was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eileen Beverly Stumpf (née Shafer). He is lovingly remembered by his son Jonathan Stumpf and daughter-in-law Pamela. He is also survived by his brother Don Stumpf and sister-in-law Judy; nephew Brad Stumpf and his wife Tammy; niece Colleen Ladzik and her husband Andy; niece Annette Stumpf, and their families. William will be remembered for his dedication to his family, pride in his work, and deep roots in the Elora community. A special thank you to the nurses, doctors, and staff at Groves Memorial Community Hospital for their compassion and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Foundation. Friends and family were received on Sunday, January 11, 2026 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St David St S Fergus, ON N1M 2L5. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 11:00am at Central Pentecostal Church in Elora, ON. Burial followed at Elora Municipal Cemetery with a reception at the church to conclude. Arrangements were entrusted to Graham A Giddy Funeral Home Ltd., 280 St. David St. S.
