Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society recognizes volunteers with awards

MAPLETON – The Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society recognized several volunteers with awards during its annual general meeting on Nov. 29. President John Klaassen congratulated all volunteers in attendance for helping to put on another record-breaking fair in terms of both attendance and revenue. The ag society also hosted several other events in 2025, and provided catering for Camping and Jamming, as well as Drayton 150 celebrations. Award winners included, from left: Lynn Flewwelling (Darlene Broadhaecker Award for most points in culinary),  Shelda Morphy (Long-Time Service Award), Shayna Morphy (Youth OAAS Award), Susan Foster (Arlene Martin Award for most points in horticulture), Kate Wassink (Youth Recognition Award), Junior Fair Ambassador Addie Clausen, Liam Kelly (beef show winner), Mandy Loree (most points in home craft classes) and president John Klaassen.
