FERGUS – Expansion of GO Train service along the Kitchener line to include weekend trips from Kitchener to Union Station might entice travellers in Wellington County to take the train rather than drive.
The new schedule will include regular weekend stops in Kitchener, Guelph, Acton and Georgetown.
The improved service will extend beyond the Halton Hills GO Station to Kitchener, providing more reliable and convenient travel options to and from the Greater Toronto Area.
“This is great news for commuters in Wellington-Halton Hills and is a critical part of our government’s massive expansion of public transit,” said Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Joseph Racinsky.
The expansion represents a major step forward in improving regional transit connectivity.
