CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Centre Wellington Minor Softball Association holds an annual three pitch tournament in Elora in honour of a former volunteer who passed away. Every year, the club chooses a local charity to donate the proceeds of the Jeanne Dalton Memorial Tournament to. This year the chosen charity was The Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington County. The club presented foundation representatives with a $4,500 cheque at its annual general meeting on Oct. 14. The Children’s Foundation is currently fundraising for its Adopt-A-Family initiative.
