ABOYNE – The spirit of the season returns to the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) as the annual Christmas Market celebrates its fifth year.
Guests can enjoy two days of fun on Nov. 28, from 4 to 9pm, and Nov. 29, from 12 to 5pm.
Over 60 local artisans will showcase their handcrafted goods.
Event highlights include:
– live music from Bob MacLean and Natalie Reis;
– festive beverages at the Red Nose Tavern (under the big tent);
– Christmas Courtyard featuring gingerbread cookie decorating and candle making;
– alpaca visits with Harmony Meadows, including yarn, boot inserts, and meet-and-greets with the animals;
– North Pole Post, where kids can write letters to Santa; and
– box hockey and local food vendors.
On Nov. 29 only there will be:
– a free shuttle bus between WCMA and the Grand River Raceway;
– Wyndy Acres Sleigh Rides; and
– a visit with Santa under the big tent from 1 to 3pm.
Admission is by donation and everyone is welcome to join in the holiday spirit.
