ELORA – Elora resident Drea Lake is a folk artist and singer songwriter mixing unconventional arrangements with memorable hooks, held together with vocals, officials say.
A lifelong musician and graduate of the University of Guelph, Lake also studied songwriting at Berklee School of Music.
Lake’s debut album A Call from Somewhere Else features Canadian artists such as Antoine Dufour, Jacob Wutzke (Caity Gyorgy), Phil Sedore (Catherine MacLellan), Olivia Esther and Chris Pruden (Tara Kannangara).
All of Lake’s first releases have been debuted on CBC radio and around the world.
Lake’s album release shows include:
– Cameron House in Toronto on Nov. 7 from 6 to 8pm;
– The Cornerstone in Guelph on Nov. 8 from 8 to 10pm;
– TWB Brewery in Kitchener on Nov. 14 from 7 to 9pm; and
– St. John’s Church in Elora on Nov. 15 from 2 to 3:30pm.
