ELORA– Granite Homes and Gemini Homes hosted the grand opening celebration of Harrison Park at the South River community in Elora on Oct. 18.
The event welcomed over 250 residents for an afternoon of fun, community spirit and local celebration, officials say.
Harrison Park features a large play structure, basketball court, a covered picnic area, an open area reserved for a future ice rink and pathways connecting to the existing trail network.
The park also highlights the preservation of mature trees, officials say.
Guests at the Oct. 18 event enjoyed live music, local food trucks, a balloon artist, and a basketball throwing competition.

Each homeowner was invited to pick their own pumpkin, grown just down the road at Buds and Blossoms Farm.
“Harrison Park represents the heart of South River, a space where neighbours connect, families play, and memories are made,” said Granite Homes director of sales and marketing Melissa Hare.
Gemini Homes general manager Brad Crnkovic added, “It’s not just about building homes, it’s about building a community that people are proud to call home.”
