EDEN MILLS – Music at the Hall is set to present Percussiano3 on Oct. 28 at 7:30pm at the Eden Mills Community Hall.
With their array of instruments and display of virtuosity, Percussiano3 present great masterpieces and unique transcriptions for percussion and piano, from an Aaron Copeland Hoe-Down to a Piazzolla Tango to Dave Brubeck’s Blue Rondo a la Turque, say officials.
The trio come to Eden Mills from Western Canada. Based in Calgary, Rod Thomas Squance is a solo percussionist captivating audiences with his blend of compelling musicianship, sparkling technique and exotic sound. He has performed with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project and international artists from a variety of musical cultures. Squance also plays jazz vibraphone, Balinese shadow-puppet music and Indian classical music.
The prize-winning Elizabeth and Marcel Bergmann Piano Duo’s dynamic and energetic performances of uniquely eclectic programmes have inspired audiences nationally and internationally. The duo has recorded extensively and their repertoire ranges from the Baroque to the contemporary, including a myriad of Marcel’s own arrangements and compositions.
They are based in the Vancouver area.
