Ontario Public Library Week runs from Oct. 19 to 25 and is a time to celebrate how important public libraries are in our communities.
This year’s theme is “Libraries: Open for Possibility.” It reminds us that libraries are places for learning, connection, creativity and community.
In Wellington County, our libraries are more than just beautiful buildings with books. They are friendly, welcoming spaces for everyone. People of all ages can enjoy free resources, technology, programs and support.
You might come for Story Time, help with your tablet, a quiet place to study or a great new book or movie.
Whatever you need, we’re here to help. Ontario Public Library Week is a chance to show how valuable libraries are and to share the services we offer.
We also want to say thanks! We appreciate our library members and visitors – you are the reason we do what we do.
Celebrate with us this week by dropping into your local branch for free book draws and free card replacements. Keep an eye out for some yummy treats, too.
Learn more about ways we can support you and register for any of the programming listed below at wellington.ca/Library.
