Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ilene Doris Dale, who passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 91. Born on January 28, 1934, Ilene lived a long and beautiful life rooted in love, laughter, and family. For 60 years, she shared a devoted marriage with her husband, Kelvin David Dale, building a family and a life together on their farm in Grand Valley, Ontario, where she lived for the past six decades. Ilene was a proud and loving mother of four children, and her joy only grew with the blessing of 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Ilene will be remembered as a graceful, caring and very hardworking woman, whose fantastic sense of humour and brutal honestly could brighten any room. She welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and made family gatherings especially memorable, as chaotic as they tended to be. Whether indulging in her love of fishing, playing a lively game of cards, enjoying an occasional trip to the casino, or simply spending time surrounded by loved ones, Ilene lived her life with grace, spunk, warmth and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy that will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. A funeral service and reception was held on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2025.
