Margaret Jane ‘Lucille’ (Underwood) Stewart of Harriston passed away peacefully at Palmerston Hospital on Thursday, August 21, 2025 in her 98th year. Wife of the late Edward ‘Bud’ Stewart. Mother of Mavis Kyler of Burlington, Lynda Hughes and her husband Ted of Burlington, Michael Stewart and his wife Linda of Carleton Place, and Leah Stewart of Harriston. Mother-in-law of Brian Hill of Harriston. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Tanya and Carmine Coppola, Eric and Joomee Kyler, Kelli Hill-Lewis and Tim, Sherry and Ryan Knight, Joy Stewart and Ian Vollick, Autumn Stewart, and Michael and Starleen Hughes, great-grandchildren Michael Hill and Haily, Keagan Hill and Whitley, Tara Hill and Brandon, Alex Bewick, Andrew Hughes, Valentina Coppola, Alessia Coppola, Rowan Stewart, James Vollick, Jocelynne Kyler, Lewis Kyler, Pyper Knight, and Ailish Knight. And great-great-grandchildren Austin, Owen, Logan, Phoebe, Scarlett, and Amelia. Predeceased by her daughter Debbie Hill, her son-in-law Ross Kyler, her sister Blythe Clark, brother Kenneth Underwood, and sister-in-law Catherine Stewart. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00pm where the funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 11:00am. The service was live-streamed and the link is available on the funeral home website. Interment in Gorrie Cemetery.
