Centre Wellington Fire Rescue hosts open house

The open house had many information booths and emergency vehicles in the fire station parking lot.

Conservation officer Joel Pegg from the Ministry of Natural Resources had various furs and antlers on display at his booth, and explained to attendees what the role of a conservation officer entails. He told a story about an operation during which the ministry caught someone smuggling live rattlesnakes across the border by hiding them in the panels of a minivan.
