It is with great love and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Robert Francis Jardine on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 in his 91st year. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. Survived by his spouse Liz (Hunt) Coles of Pike Lake, his daughter Cathy & Mark Allen of Orillia, and his stepdaughters Lori Burke of Barrie, and Susan Coles and Neil Munro of Hagersville. Remembered by his grandchildren Matt (Lindsay) of Orillia, Nicole Allen (predeceased), Cole (Jacklyn) of Barrie, Carly of Costa Rica, Brock (Marissa) of Oakville, Brent (Savleen) of Cambridge, and Nick of Hagersville, by 6 great-grandchildren Dylan, Hannah, Sydney, Gordon, Hunter and Jaiden, and by 2 great-great-grandchildren Phoenix and Brielle. Robert was born and raised in Nova Scotia, the only child of Frank and Hattie (Sullivan) Jardine, and moved to Ontario in 1954. In the late 1950s, he proudly joined the Mississauga Police Force, where his distinguished career included many years of dedicated service with the Peel Regional Police Association. Retiring after 35 years of service in 1990, Robert embraced a life filled with travel, golf, and friendship, dividing his time between Pike Lake and Zephyrhills, Florida. In 2001, Robert met Liz, and together they built a life full of love and companionship, splitting their time between their winter home in Florida and summers at Pike Lake in Mount Forest. Robert will be remembered for his warmth, integrity, and the countless friendships he nurtured throughout his life. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends who will miss him dearly. A private family funeral service was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
