WELLINGTON COUNTY – The Grand River Conservation Authority (GRCA) is currently seeking feedback on proposed changes to its “Policies for the Administration of the Prohibited Activities, Exemptions and Permits Regulation 41/24” related to agricultural structures in the floodplain.
The proposed changes are the result of a review of policies used to make decisions on permit applications for farm buildings located in the floodplain.
The changes aim to modernize the GRCA’s policy approach to reflect current agricultural operations while continuing to manage flood risks, officials say.
Those interested can review background materials and the proposed changes on the GRCA website and submit feedback via the website or by mail. The deadline for feedback submissions is Aug. 15. Learn more at grandriver.ca/agpolicyreview.
