GUELPH — The Ontario Soil and Crop Improvement Association (OSCIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerry Wright as its new executive director, effective July 28.
Wright brings more than 20 years of experience in the agriculture and agri-food industries, with a professional background that spans not-for-profit leadership and executive management at private organizations across Canada.
She has held key positions with organizations such as the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association, the Canadian Agri-food Automation & Intelligence Network (CAAIN) and Mallot Creek Group where she provided strategic advice to the food, beverage and agri-food industries.

Over the course of her career, she has led business transformation, supported innovation and program development, and engaged diverse stakeholders to drive meaningful results.
Wright’s work has included strategic planning, marketing and communications, governance and operational improvement.
She spent a decade reporting to a national producer board of directors in the not-for-profit sector, and over 16 years as a senior consultant advising clients on strategic change.
Her skillset includes project management, cross-functional team leadership, and the design of innovative business strategies and services that align with long-term priorities.

“Her wide-ranging experience and collaborative leadership style are a great match for OSCIA as we continue to expand our programming and support producers in building future-ready farms.”
Wright is known for her entrepreneurial mindset and her ability to foster organizational growth, align teams, and lead through periods of change.
“In this next chapter, I want to utilize my strategic mindset to support agriculture-based organizations that help to propel agriculture and farming forward,” Wright states.
