Some real stunners on Fergus garden tour

Fiona Mason’s home at 145 Union St. West was nothing but grass and holes left by the dogs of the previous owner. Five years later this flowering dogwood is a focal point in her yard, which was one of four private gardens on the Fergus Horticultural Society’s garden tour on June 22.

Fiona Mason stands with statues representing the four seasons. Mason said she had no plan when she started to beef up the garden five years ago. She just finds what she likes and then finds a spot for it, she said.

The shed is the heart of the garden and Fiona Mason’s shed is a focal point in her yard.
