MOUNT FOREST – The Wellington North Farmers’ Market is gearing up for the 2025 season, which gets underway on June 14 at a new location.
The weekly market will take place at 393 Parkside Dr., Mount Forest.
It provides local vendors an opportunity to market farm and agriculture products directly to consumers and serves as an outlet to stimulate public interest in and increase consumption of local products.
The Farmers’ Market will be primarily for the sale of food (meat, fish, poultry, eggs, butter, fruits and vegetables, etc.); horticultural products (flowers, shrubs, plants, etc.); and other products such as home baked goods, preserves, home-made crafts and wood products.
“There are so many reasons why buying local makes sense,” states Wellington North economic development officer Robyn Mulder in a press release.
“There is also significant peace of mind in knowing where our food comes from; ask questions, and enjoy the experience at the Wellington North Farmers’ Market.
“The Farmers’ Market provides a real connection between farmer and consumer.”
The Wellington North Farmers’ Market will run every Saturday from 8:30am to noon between June 14 and Sept. 27, with several special events planned throughout the season.
Market organizers are still accepting inquiries from vendors and entertainers for this season.
“Get in touch to learn how you can be part of our farmers’ market,” officials encourage.
