Heartless

Dear Editor:

I was out for a nice walk down to and around the cemetery this past Sunday, which I often do.

I also checked out my parent’s stone to see what was needed to get ready to plant some flowers for the summer.

I was there about two weeks prior and all was well, but this Sunday I noticed that someone had dug out two perennials that I planted last year.

They were definitely scooped out, not damaged or animals, etc.

Also stolen last year was a lovely floral saddle.

If the responsible person(s) is reading this, your actions are very disrespectful and heartless.

If you don’t want to spend any money, just look around your neighbourhood, there is always someone who has plants for free (or a small fee) at the end of their driveways.

You should be ashamed of yourself!

We take pride in preserving the dignity and beauty of the site for both the deceased and our family and friends.
