With deep love and sadness, we announce the passing of Bonnie Moebus, who died, surrounded by her family, on May 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Bonnie was the proud mother of David (Christine) and Pauline (Micheàl), and a loving grandmother to Jack and Gail. Her family, her home, and her many hobbies brought her great joy. Her presence, warmth, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A long-time resident of Fergus, Ontario, Bonnie called the same beautiful home her own for over 50 years. She was the devoted wife of the late Harry Moebus, with whom she shared many wonderful years until his passing in 2021. Bonnie worked as a librarian at both the Fergus & Elora Libraries for more than 20 years, where her love of books and learning left a lasting impression on the community. Beyond her work, she was known for her stunning gardens and the unforgettable meals from her kitchen. Her home was always a welcoming place—especially to her cherished neighbours, whom she considered part of her family. With Bonnie, no one stayed a stranger for long. She also had a deep affection for dogs, who brought joy and companionship to her life over the years. A gathering to honour Bonnie’s life will be held later this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in her memory be made to Aboyne Rural Hospice.
