GUELPH – The Learning Disabilities Association of Wellington County (LDAWC) is holding a Trivia Night fundraiser on May 24 from 7 to 11pm at the Italian-Canadian Club, at 135 Ferguson Street, Guelph.
It will be an evening of trivia, food, drinks and community connection, officials say – all in support of children, youth, and families impacted by learning disabilities.
Learning disabilities are the most commonly diagnosed exceptionality in Ontario’s education system, making up 40% of students who have an exceptionality in Ontario.
Yet many students and families still struggle to access assessments, supports, and understanding.
Beyond raising funds, LDAWC’s goal is to raise awareness and build a more inclusive community for individuals with learning disabilities, officials say.
Tickets are $190 for a table of eight; $140 for a table of six; or $25 per person.
Attendees must be 19 or older.
