Spring Wildflower Workshop at The Arboretum

GUELPH – Spring has arrived and the flowers are beginning to bloom!

The Arboretum in Guelph is hosting a spring wildflower workshop.

Christa Wise will lead this full day workshop on May 4 from 9am to 4pm.

The in-classroom learning component of this workshop will focus on foundational botany and an introduction to the plant families that might be encountered during the springtime.

Visiting Arboretum sites like Victoria Woods, Wild Goose Woods, and the closed to the public Nature Reserve, participants will be able to test their new knowledge with hands-on identification practice.

Going “beyond the field guide” exploration of the ecology and history of these spring-time blooms will also be part of this workshop.

“This workshop is perfect for those looking to dive into the world of spring wildflowers and develop their field identification skills,” officials state.

The cost of the workshop is $98 (plus H.S.T.) each when registration is completed by the early bird deadline (8 days in advance of the workshop).

After the early bird deadline the fee is $108 (plus H.S.T).
