HILLSBURGH– Preparations are in full swing for the Hillsburgh Garden Club’s Spring Plant Sale, set to take place May 17 from 8:30am to 1pm at 9042 Wellington Rd. 22 in Hillsburgh.
The event will feature a wide selection of annuals, perennials, heirloom tomato plants, hanging baskets and more.
The funds raised will help beautify the community of Hillsburgh, said officials.
Experienced gardeners will also be on hand to answer questions and assist with plant selections. And young, budding gardeners will enjoy the Children’s Table. Customers are encouraged to bring their own containers to carry out their purchases.
“Every year our Spring Plant Sale attracts a large number of garden enthusiasts. Seasoned gardeners come for unusual, hard-to-find plants that have been dug up, divided and shared by Hillsburgh Garden Club members. Of course, there are also plenty of workhorse perennials and easy-to-grow annuals that are ideal for anyone who is starting a new garden, said Plant Sale Chair, Shari Penty in a press release.
The event is cash or e transfer only.
