Belwood Lions Club helps send kids to Camp Bellaleo

FERGUS – This summer, thanks to the generosity of the Belwood Lions Club, three children will get to experience the magic of overnight camping at Camp Bellaleo on Belwood Lake.

With the donation, the Lions have made it possible for the campers to enjoy a week filled with laughter, growth and memories – something that may not have been possible without their support, officials say.

Camp Bellaleo’s mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and joy-filled space where kids can connect with nature, explore new interests, build confidence and feel a true sense of belonging, stated officials.

Through cabin life, themed programming and classic campfire moments, Camp Bellaleo encourages campers to be themselves, try new things and forge friendships.

Each summer, Camp Bellaleo strives to remove financial barriers so more children can enjoy camp experiences.

“Generous partners like the Belwood Lions help us achieve this goal,” stated officials.

Camp Bellaleo officials noted how grateful they feel to the Lions for their ongoing support of youth development and their belief in the power of camp.

“It’s because of donors like them that we can continue to grow our camp family and share the magic of Bellaleo with even more kids each year,” officials added.
