Take a hike for Hospice Wellington

GUELPH – This year’s Hike for Hospice will commemorate Hospice Wellington’s 45th anniversary.

The annual event is slated for June 1 from 10am to 1pm at Riverside Park in Guelph.

“Embrace the opportunity to honour someone you love, connect with fellow hikers, immerse yourself in the beauty of nature, and contribute to a cause that touches the hearts of many,” officials state.“Let’s come together to create new memories while supporting 45 years of hospice care in our community – your participation makes a world of difference.”

Registration is now open and those who register before April 30 will be entered for a chance to win $500 to spend at the Elora Mill and Spa.

Registration costs $25 and registrants are encouraged to collect pledges.

The hike begins at 11:30am, and there will be games, activities, wellness, music and art therapy tents and food. “Enjoy the barbecue and other refreshments and join the dog costume parade,” officials add.
