U of G to host annual College Royal open house

GUELPH – The University of Guelph’s annual College Royal open house and events are set for March 5 to 16.

College Royal is the largest university open house event in North America and attracts a yearly average of 20,000 visitors to the Guelph campus.

There will be a campus open house and tours on March 15 and 16 from 9am to 4pm, and 12 days of  events including Kick off Pub held at Peter Clark Hall, Super Thursdays (aka a giant food fight), livestock shows, square dancing, and bubble soccer for kids.

“On open house weekend families can come in and view the school, they open up the barn for the families to walk through and all the clubs are on display at the university,” said event director of advertising Natalie Medland.

The event is entirely student run and organized.

A new event this year is the Sunday spotlight open mic.
