2nd Bravery Race set for April 30
The second annual Avery’s Bravery Race will take place on April 30 at the Rockwood Conservation Area.
Avery Bond was born March 13, 2009 and lives in Rockwood. She had life saving heart surgery at 13 days of age and after surgery she developed swallowing issues. But she is now a healthy little girl.
Her family and friends want to celebrate Avery’s second year after heart surgery and give back to Sick Kids Hospital for saving her life. To date $6,000 has been raised.
The event kicks off on April 30 with race kit pick-up from 9 to 10am, followed by opening ceremonies at 10am, the start of the walk/runs at 10:30am. For more information visit averysbraveryrace.com.
