$20,500 approved for clinic work
Work continues on the medical centre in Drayton, and last week Mapleton council approved two more quotes for the new building - for a total of $20,500.
First was the bid of $3,930 from Beechwood Blinds and Interiors, of Kitchener, for window treatments.
The other one received, from Karen’s Custom Decorating in Palmerston, was for $3,996.
The second bid approved by council was for stairs and hand rails.
Rosmar Welding Inc., of Guelph, had the lowest quote - $16,570 - and was awarded the job. The other was received was from Vogel Welding Inc., of Elmira, for $18,960.
