Some bills are still to come, but it appears the final cost for the 109 Main Street pavilion and park project will likely be over $126,000.

Finance director Sharon Marshall recently provided council with a detailed list of expenditures of $123,324.

At that time, the town had received $37,121 in donations for the project, meaning the net cost to the town is $86,203.

Council had approved a $71,150 transfer from reserves in the 2009 budget, leaving overruns totalling $15,053.

Marshall suggested transferring that amount from the hydro proceeds reserves account (which had a balance of $130,817). Mayor Rod Finnie said there may be another $2,000 spent on security cameras and Marshall added there may also be a $1,000 charge for a sign. Council approved the transfer of up to $18,000 from the  hydro reserves.
