100 Women Who Care-Rural Wellington supported three local hospital foundations

These women care – The September 2022 meeting of 100 Women Who Care – Rural Wellington was held at the Arthur and Area Community Centre. The in-person meeting also facilitated virtual attendance, with several new members joining the meeting through this medium. The winning charity were three local hospital foundations, nominated by Judy Dirksen.

The group meets four times per year at different locations throughout rural Wellington County. At each meeting, three charities are nominated by members for consideration by the membership. Each nominating member speaks to their nominated charity and what the donated funds would support. Each member in attendance, either in person or virtual, casts their vote, and the charity with the most votes receives a $100 donation from each member. Shown here are, from left, Dirksen and fellow 100 Women member Kay Ayres, Dale Franklin of the Palmerston Hospital Foundation, Lori Arsenault from Groves Hospital Foundation and Amy VanHuss  with the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

The next meeting of the chapter will take place at the Alma Community Centre on Dec. 19 at 7pm and new members are always welcome. Visit www.100wwcrw.com for more information or call Helen at 519-321-1151.
