Youth photographers document Countdown to Canada Day 2017
In recognition of the Countdown to Canada Day 2017 celebrations taking place in Centre Wellington from June 26 to 30, a group of youths was commissioned by the province of Ontario to document the events.
Facilitated by local photographer Sylvia Galbraith, the group attended and photographed each event.
Galbraith said this project creates a lasting record that illustrates and celebrates the diversity and connectedness of Canada.
The photographs in the exhibition are now hanging in the Fergus library until the middle of August.
The photos will also be printed in a book, one copy will be donated to the Ontario Archives and the Fergus library.
The photographers in the program were: Rowan Abraham, Charlotte Christie, Abby Graham, Celina Hynes, Stass Jackson, Ashleigh Knight, Erin Pettifer and Avery Scott.
